When you submit a story, we collect your email address only to verify the submission, notify you of its acceptance or rejection, and contact you if clarification or documentation is required. Your email address is never published or used for marketing.

How long information is kept

After a final acceptance or rejection decision, the submitter’s email address and technical verification data are scheduled for deletion after 90 days. The story, its chosen public byline, and a minimal administrative record of the decision may remain. That record contains the decision, date, delivery status, a masked address, and the email subject—but not the full address or message body.

You may ask about the information associated with your submission or request its deletion by contacting the site through the address used for correspondence.
